Well i thought i'll compile a small list of the 'possible' solutions in getting the Spore Creature Creator Demo working for both the Windows and Macintosh version.

Below are the problems while installing/trying to play the game occurred for some of our members and the possible solutions to get the game to work. Additionally, i threw in some straightforward help guidelines incase the game doesn't want to run.

Windows Version

System Requirements

OS - Windows XP/Vista
Processor - 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
Memory - XP: 512 MB RAM / Vista: 768 MB RAM
Hard Drive - At least 300 MB of hard drive space for installation, plus additional space for created creatures. (190 MB for the Trial Edition)
Video Card - A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires at least

Intel Integrated Chipset GMA 950
Dual 2.0GHz CPUs, or 1.7GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent

General Issues
These are problems that occurred that were/weren't solved

Windows Version

Q. Spore is running but has visual glitches when making the creature in the environment.
A. It is most likely that you have a Old graphics card and it is failing on you. Refer to this link if you need further help ( Graphics problem )

Q. I have a problem at the ESRB screen and it doesn't want to load the game
A. There are a few solutions:

Try removing the EA Download Manager
Check your graphics card model against the 'Graphics Card Support' list above in the System Requirements section for Windows
Try updating your drivers for your Graphics Card
Uninstall and Re-install the game (doesn't always help though)

Q. I have a DirectX problem
A. DirectX is a tricky little bugger if this doesn't let you run the game it usually means your graphics card isn't up to it however, give these possible solution(s) a go maybe JUST maybe they'll get you up and running:

Try downloading the latest DirectX found here ( Download DirectX 9.0c (full package) - the latest version of Direct X )

Macintosh Version

Q. The game only gets up to the Galaxy picture and then nothing else happens
A. This means you have either a normal Macbook, a PowerPC or MacMini, please refer to System Requirements for Mac.

This thread will get updated as more problems happen and solution for them can be found, so keep an eye out and it might save your Life!!

there was a patch for the particular file that causes that to fail, so look on spore.com and look around for it.

EA is messin up latley...RA3 doesn't seem to have many bugs.
What people fail to realize that EA is split into 9 Divisions RA3 is LA and Spore is Vancouver

yer i have to admit RA3 dosent have many bugs tho voice errors and graphic crashes are expected from ea cos it happen to all of there game and there games only, spore give me loads of grief, the sims2 was a headacke and ra3 pissed me of cos it crashed during mulitplayer.

i can happerly play summing star wars empire at war without any hitches, but not any thing from ea
